Shared cloud hosting is a great option for small organizations. In a shared cloud hosting environment, you securely share highly-available physical servers (processors, memory, and hard drives) and the software applications within the server with other companies and organizations. Shared cloud hosting services are typically more affordable because the cost to operate the servers is shared between you and other organizations.
An excellent option for smaller and mid-sized organizations, a virtual private server (VPS) allows for dedicated hosting, but utilizes virtualization technology to eliminate physical hardware needs. You have the entire server’s resources at your disposal without having to share it with other companies and organizations. A virtual private server can be more affordable for an organization that doesn’t have the need and/or budget for a large dedicated physical server.
Colocation allows you to purchase your own server and house it at Cantey Tech Consulting’s SOC 2 TYPE II Datacenter.
